Due to the changes with the Oregon DMV no longer issuing DMV address stickers, the following needs to be completed prior to submitting a transaction. The dealer is responsible for verifying the address entered on the 4473 is the current address on file with DMV. If the residential address is different than the address provided on the identification, the purchaser will need to provide one of the following supplemental government-issued forms of identification with the current address.
Examples of accepted government-issued identification:
Government utility bill
Voter registration card
Property tax statement
Vehicle registration
Hunting/fishing license
Concealed handgun license
Military orders
Oregon DMV printout for address change (https://dmv2u.oregon.gov/eServices/_/)
Transactions submitted with the supplemental identification for the address will not be canceled for the address discrepancy. If the address entered on the 4473 and submitted through the portal does not match the DMV and supplemental identification is not entered, the transaction will be canceled.
